Notes for Avraham Yehuda ALEXANDER
The 1869 Hungarian Census lists Avraham Alexander born in 1845 and his wife Caroline (nee Teutelbaum) born in 1852 and their infant daughter, Regina born that year. This is certainly Avraham, wife Lena, and their oldest child. (See further notes under Berko Alexander.) [2]
Family lore has it that Avraham died shortly before Lena, Isidor, Morris and Henry came to the United States in 1891. His death record from March, 1891 confirms this.
On Isidore Alexander’s marriage license, his father’s name was given as Adolf Alexander, not Avraham. However, Isidore’s death certificate gives his father’s name as Abraham.
