Family lore is that they had five children:
- Leah (married to Avraham Alexander),
- William,
- Anna (or Hannah) married to a Gottdiener,
- Sally married to someone named Kaufman who was a dry cleaner in Johnstown, PA, and
- Mortiz.
Family lore is that they are from Egres, Hungary.
Based on 1869 Hungarian Census listing for Emanuel Teitelbaum m. Katalin Edli living in Egres
[1761]. other children might include:
- Fani b. 1855
- Izrael b. 1857
- Zsanet b. 1864
These children would have filled in the gap in age between Leah and Sally.
This Emanuel Teitelbaum was a judge or magistrate.
They lived in one room on the ground floor
Further research is needed to confirm if this is the correct family.

[6]This may also be the Emanuel Teitelbaum who died 3 Nov 1883 in Egres, wife Zali Olper/Alpor.
- This would, however, presume that Zali is his second wife.
- Emanuel & Zali had a child, Izak, in 1882
