Notes for Samuel SCHWARTZ
Last name may be spelled SCHWARCZ on documents in Hungary or as SCHWARZ on other documents.

This is probably the Benjamin SCHWARCZ who married Rezi ALEXANDER on 29 Jan 1895 in Lemes, Hungary. A tthe time of marriage, the groom was 26 and his residence is listed as Ujvár. [2374] This is probably Abaújvár, Hungary which is 36 km SSW of Ofalu, Saros, Hungary. [2375]

Family lore says that they had a large family with perhaps as many as 11 children.

A Samuel Schwarz from Opina, who was born in 1869, appears in a list of prosecuted people following World War II. [2376].

He also appears on a List of Jews from Slovakia transferred by way of Zilna Camp to the Lubin Region 21 Apr 1942. [2372] [2377]
