Notes for Tillie SPITZER
1910 U.S. Census says that of her 5 children, 3 were still alive. This would be Arthur, Lillian and Leo. (Sidney was born in 1916.)
There is a question as to how many children Tillie had:
• Both Ira Alexander and Sidney Stuart Alexander mentioned a David Alexander, son of Morris & Tille. David is not listed as child of Morris & Tillie Alexander in 1910, 1920 or 1930 U.S. Census.
• The 1920 and 1930 US Census list a son Leo who is not mentioned by either Ira or Sidney.
• David is not mentioned in Tillie Spitz Alexander's obituary.
• Florence C. Alexander (wife of Sidney Alexander) also did not say anything about David when listing her husband’s siblings.
• Finally, 1910 census says that of Tillie’s 5 children, 3 were still alive which would be Arthur, Lillian and Leo.
• While it is possible that David was one of the two who died, it is unlikely that Ira and Sidney knew him.
