Notes for Hyman GRODGINSKY
All of his children were born in the United States (according to Norman Groudine) and confirmed by 1900 U.S. Census listing for H. Grodginsky.

Immigrated with wife in 1870. (1900 U.S. Census)

In 1900, lived on 26 Congress St., Pittsburgh, PA (family still there in 1905)

Alternate spelling of last name: Grodginski, Grodzinsky (Norman Groudine reports that Grodginski is the correct spelling, but most official documents spell it with a y.)

According to Norman Groudine: “Going back to the grandfather (HYMAN), he had two brothers and apparently they came to this country pretty early because all the children were born in this country and my dad was born in 1881 so they must have been here around 1875 and maybe earlier Mansfield and Seville were the other two names adopted by the Grandfather?s brothers. The Seville family lived in Pittsburgh and some of the children, first cousins... second cousins of mine are still there. Mansfield I never heard anything about.”
