Based on her obituary, Goldie came to Pittsburgh around 1870, which is consistent with 1900 U.S. Census.
1900 Census says that of 9 children born, all still alive. [BUT WITH ANN, I HAVE 10 CHILDREN LISTED HERE.]
1900 U.S. Census lists as a child of H. and Golder Grodginsky a daughter, Saller, born Dec. 1889. Saul, born Oct 1889, is not listed. I presumed that Saller is really Saul, even with the discrepancy as to gender. (Also, birth dates in 1900 census seem to be off by a few months from other documents.)
In 1905, Mrs. G. Grodginsky announced the engagement of her daughter Eva to Max Levenon (CRI 1905 021 023 11171905).
In 1909, listed in the City Directory as Goldie Groudine.
[820]Sept 1918, lived at 1107 Vickroy St. (WW 1 Draft card of Louis J. Groudine & 1920 U.S. Census)
1920 Census says that Goldie arrived in US in 1877 and became a citizen in 1880
1937 Address at time of death : 5662 Phillips Ave., Pittsburgh, PA
