“Two Pittsburgh residents were killed Friday in a four-vehicle crash along Route 209 between Bushkill and Dingmans Ferry. As of late Friday night the dead had not been positively identified by relatives. Their names were released however as Willard Singer, 65 of 603 Chestnut St., Pittsburgh and Florence Teitelbaum, 61 of 401 Shady Ave., Pittsburg. The victims were traveling south on Route 209 in a convertible operated by Singer. Singer attempted to pass a car driven by Hollis Hopkins, 21 of Agawain, Mass., Police said. As the Singer vehicle moved into the left lane it crashed nearly head-on into a tractor trailer being driven by John Galiandt, 35 of Wanque, N. J., police added. A second t r a c t o r t r a i l e r operated by Joseph J. Sheppard of Butler, N. J. was f o l l o w i n g b e h i n d t h e truck operated by Galiandt. Sheppard swerved off the road in an effort to avoid the collision in bis lane, officials said. As the trailer moved off the road it jackknifed and the v e h i c l e o p e r a t e d b y Miss Hopkins collided with it. The victims were taken to t h e S l r o y a n a n d C r e l l i n Funeral Home, Milford, where t h e y r e m a i n u n t i l positive identification can be made. P i k e C o u n t y C o r o n e r H. James Crellin said the cause of death in each case was a f r a c t u r e d s k u l l , l a c e r a t i o n s and hemmorhaging. A passenger in the Gallandl vehicle and a passenger in the Hopkins vehicle were treated and released at the General Hospital of Monroe County. An official of the Pittsburgh P o s t - G a z e t t e s a i d M r s . Teitelbaum was employed as a field representative for the Development Corporation of Israel in Pittsburgh. He has no information about Singer. The collision is being investigated by State Police at Milford. “
