Notes for <daughter> STURZ
Family lore passed down by Sidney Stuart Alexander says that Yahiel Sturz had a sister who married someone named Hochhauser.

See email correspondence with Don Hochheiser in September, 2013, July 2016 and July 2017. His ancestors are Moritz Hochauser m. Rosa Sturz.
- Her father on her death certificate is “Joseph Hochhauser,” this would mean that her maiden name and her married name are the same. On other documents, her maiden name is given as Rosa Sturz.
- Her mother is listed as Hannah Sturz. Thus it is possible that this Rose has the same parents as Yahiel and Baruch Sturz.
- familysearch.org New York Marriages lists Moritz Hochauser and Rosa Sturz as parents of 1) Hany Hochhauser m. Wilhelm Frieman in 1882 and 2) Adolph Hochhauser m. Gussie Schwartz in 1901 and 3) Regi Hochhauser m. Adolf Furman

Ancestry DNA says that there is an extremely high probability that Miriam Alexander Baker and oomahandrade are 3rd or 4th cousins. They share 104 centimorgans across 8 DNA segments.
- The home person in oomahandrade’s tree is the daughter of Milton Hochhauser and Miriam Cushner., Milton, in turn, is the grandson of Moritz Hochhauser and Rose Sturz. This makes it highly probable that Rose Sturz is the sister of Yahiel Sturz, Miriam Alexander Baker’s great-grandfather.
